Cleveland Police question teenager after drugs and firearms seized during raid

The 17-year-old's currently in custody helping officers with their inquiries

A teenager's being questioned by Cleveland Police after drugs and firearms were seized during a raid at a house.

Officers responded to information from the public yesterday and attended a property on Challoner Road, Yarm. Suspected cocaine and cannabis, as well as firearms, cash and drugs paraphernalia were found inside.

A 17-year-old boy remains in custody and is helping police with on-going inquiries.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "If you have information on drug dealing or use in your community, you can contact Cleveland Police any time on the 101 number.

"If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning 0800 555 111."
