Seven arrested after massive suspected drug farm disocovery
Officers raided a premises on Teesside Industrial Estate
Seven males (16, 22, 24, 35, 47, 50 and 51) are currently in custody after Stockton neighbourhood officers discovered a huge suspected cannabis farm in a warehouse in Thornaby.
Police forced their way into the building on Teesside Industrial Estate just after noon today (Tuesday 7th June) and discovered a large number of rooms completely full of plants. It’s estimated they could be worth several millions of pounds.
The men were all arrested at the scene and taken in for questioning.
Colleagues from Northern Power Grid attended to make safe the electrical system and officers remain on scene while enquiries continue.
