Appeal after alleged Stockton assault

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Stockton at around 12.30am in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The victim was found with injuries at an address on Eder Road in the town and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he was later released.

Officers have been in the area today as part of the investigation and one man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent and is in police custody.

Detectives have been at an address on Gladesfield Road as part of their investigation.
