New arrest made in connection with 2019 Hartlepool death

Cleveland police say they are still looking for 2 more people in connection with the death of Hemawand Ali Hussain

A man's been arrested in Belgium, in connection with the death of a man in Hartlepool in 2019.

4 men were sentenced to over 85 years in prison between them for the death of Hemawand Ali Hussain, who was found with a shotgun wound.

Now a 32 year old has been arrested after collaborative work between Cleveland Police, international partners and the NCA.

Cleveland Police is still appealing to trace these men (pictured below) in connection with Mr Hussein’s death.

Four others were sentenced in connection with the death of Mr Hussain:

• Eugert Merizaj, 33, was jailed for 32 years

• Noza Saffari, 42, was jailed for 15 years

• Dorian Pirija, 36, was jailed for 19 years

• Qazim Marku, 28, was jailed for 19 years
