Children in Hartlepool can access a range of activities and clubs over the Christmas holidays - and get a healthy dinner too.

It's hoped the scheme will help families who are struggling to cope with costs during the winter break - as places are free for any kids who receive free school meals, and activities include a healthy meal as well.

The Hartlepool Holiday Fun project is run by the Council, and any children and young people in Hartlepool - aged between 4 and 16 years old - are welcome.

Activities include sports, arts and crafts, trips to the pantomime, Christmas themed activities and forest fun - plus accessible events for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The project is run by Hartlepool Borough Council, in partnership with different organisations and funded by the Department for Education.
