A man has been charged and is due to appear in court later this month
There has been an update in the alleged burglary at Outwood Academy in Nomanby, which left the school closed for the day.
It happened on the first day of the new term - Monday the 6th of September, and, according to a statement from the school, caused significant damage.
A 22-year-old man arrested previously was later released with no further police action.

The man has now been charged and is due to appear at court later this month.
On the 6th September, the school released this statement about the break in:
"We can confirm that there was damage caused to the academy building due to a burglary overnight, which unfortunately led to today's closure.
"We are currently working with the Police regarding the incident and staff are working tirelessly to ensure we can welcome back our students as soon as possible.
"Lastly, we would like to thank our students and parents for their patience and understanding on this matter."
