Boost for town if Middlesbrough make the Premier League

Whether you're a fan or not, Middlesbrough is the place to be if they make it to the Premier League on Monday.

Experts at Teesside University have told TFM Radio top flight football will put the town on the map.

They are expecting more investement, regeneration and job opportunites if the team beat Norwich on Monday.

Michael Lavery, from the university, said: "It creates an association, a brand and a character for Middlesbrough, which, given the great style of the current Middlesbrough team, is one that is very positive indeed.

"It really puts Middlesbrough to the front of people's minds when they come to making choices about living, studying and working here in the region."
