Biker dies after crash in Norton

Police are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in Norton yesterday evening, Sunday 1st July.

The collision happened at around 9.10pm on Norton Road at the junction with Trent Street in Norton, involving a Skoda Fabia and a Honda VFR 400cc motorcycle.

The male motorcycle rider sadly suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The man has not yet been formally identified.

Police believe that the motorcycle rider was in convoy with two other motorcycle riders, who left the scene prior to officers arriving. Police would like to speak to them about what happened and would urge them to come forward.

Officers would also like to appeal for anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision or footage which may show the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision.
