A popular Middlesbrough bar say the damage that’s been done after a break in on Friday morning is on ‘another level’.

On social media, the owners have posted to say two people forced the shutter open and stole a sealed tub of their Christmas tips at 04:20 on January 5th.

They also are reported to have taken a quantity of alcohol and broke into the fruit machine.

They’ve launched a desperate appeal to the local community for help, saying it’s ‘hard enough with the cost of living crisis'.

In a post on Facebook, bosses at the Legends Bar said: "Early hours of this morning these two 'delightfuls' broke in to our bar at at 04:20.

"They forced the shutter open, smashed the window broke the fruit machine and took off with a sealed container of staff Christmas tips and two bottles of spirits while another man was outside on look out.

"It’s hard enough as it is with the cost of living crisis and pubs closing every day. We try to keep things good for the community of Longlands and we do plenty of work with Charities, we are good friendly people who will help anyone but this has gone too far this time.

"The damage that’s been done is on another level.

"I’m willing to pay a serious cash amount to find out who these are it’s that simple I will not breath a word or mention anything I want these names

"Pictures are not great I’ve got voice recognition of the people who burgled us and I know someone out there will know or heard something.

"Thank you to everyone who supports us and all the best to all you fantastic customers."
