Assault on The Headland in Hartlepool

A 56 year old Hartlepool man is to undergo surgery for serious injuries to his hands after he was assaulted following a night out.

The attack happened at around 00.50am on Sunday (11th February) at the back of an address on Durham Street on The Headland.

The suspect is described as a man of around 6’2” in height, of slim build and wearing a hat. It’s believed a knife was used during the assault.

The victim received treatment to his hands and also for facial injuries at the University Hospital of North Tees.
