Armed Police called to Hartlepool property

Armed police have been called to a property in Hartlepool following reports of an armed man arguing with a tenant.

The Armed Response Unit of Cleveland Police are still dealing with a situation in Hartlepool.

They were called to Titan House on York Road around 10:10 this morning after reports of a man with a firearm in a heated dispute with a tenant.

Police say is not believed there is any threat to anyone inside the building or to the wider community in Hartlepool.

Access into and out of the building is being allowed.

Officers are continuing to look into the incident that happened this morning.

An investigation’s been launched to find out if the man was indeed armed, but police are reassuring residents and the public that there is no reason to believe anyone is now in any type of danger.
