Police are investigating an incident over the weekend in Middlesbrough where a car was reported overturned and later a 17-year-old male found with leg injuries.

At around 00.05am yesterday morning (Sunday June 26) police received a report of a suspected collision and that a Land Rover Freelander was on its side in Cargo Fleet Lane.

It was reported that the Freelander had collided with a silver Nissan X-Trail before overturning on to its side.

A number of occupants were seen to flee the vehicle and one of those persons, a 17 year old male, was struck by the Nissan X-Trail.
