Appeal after knifepoint robbery in Redcar

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was robbed of his wallet and phone in Redcar at the weekend.

The 22-year-old man was walking along Lord Street at around 2.50am on Sunday (19th June) and as he passed the junction with Charlotte Street a man came of out Charlotte Street, brandishing a large knife and robbed him.

The victim did not suffer any injuries but was left extremely shaken.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall, wearing all dark clothing and a balaclava and he had a local accent.

We would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam or CCTV from the area at the time to contact Cleveland Police on the 101-number quoting ref 104907.
