Appeal after 11-year-old girl knocked over in Thornaby
Officers are appealing for information after an 11-year-old girl was hit by a car at the traffic light crossing outside of The Spitman pub on Trenchard Avenue in Thornaby on Monday 16th January.
The girl was walking home from school at around 15:40hrs and crossed when the green man was on. A woman driving a black car then drove through the crossing and collided with the child.
The driver did not stop and left the scene.
The girl was taken to hospital by her mother, and was left with pain to her left hip and leg.
