17 year old boy dies after being hit by a car in Middlesbrough.

A 17-year-old boy has died following a serious collision in Middlesbrough which happened in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 3rd September).

Jordan Seddon from Middlesbrough was riding a BMX bike when the collision happened with a black Fiat Punto at around 12.10am on Cargo Fleet Lane.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital but sadly died yesterday evening.

His family have paid tribute to him. They said: “We are devastated. Jordan was dearly loved and we would like to ask to be left alone to grieve.”

A 41-year-old woman remains in custody in connection with the incident.
