Actress Dakota Johnson hits outs at 'brutal' ageism in Hollywood
She admits she's worried about her career
Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson has hit out at the 'brutal' ageism in the acting industry.
Speaking to a national magazine she admitted that she's worried about her career, despite only being 26-years-old.
She added for her mother Melanie Griffith and her grandmother Tippi Hedren, who are also actresses, it's much harder.
âWhy isnât my mother in the movies? Sheâs an extraordinary actress. Why isnât my grandmother in the movies? This industry is brutalâ.
âNo matter how tough you are, sometimes thereâs the feeling of not being wanted. Itâs absurd and cut-throat. Whenever I have downtime, Iâm unsure that I will ever work again. I donât know what it is, but itâs a definite thing that happens to me.â
She's been promoting her new film Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as 'Whitey Bulger' - a well-known criminal in the United States.
