Teenager assaulted in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 19-year-old woman was assaulted outside of McDonalds on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Saturday 15th October at 11:05pm when the victim became involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male. The man then slapped and punched the victim, which led to her being knocked unconscious on the floor. The suspect then made off from the scene.

The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where she was treated for a cracked cheekbone, cuts to the inside of the cheek, broken and chipped teeth and cuts and bruising to the face.

It is believed the suspect was with a group of five males at the time of the attack and he is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, around 20-30-years-old, of broad/stocky build, around 5 ft 8”-5 ft 11” tall, with short, black afro-style hair. He was wearing a back North Face jacket and very baggy black trousers.
