Cleveland Police are reviewing the investigation into the disappearance of Scott Fletcher.

It’s been four years since he went missing, after being seen in a lay-by in Wheatley Hill in Durham on May 11th 2011.

The 31-year-old’s family are also continuing to appeal for information.

Detective Superintendent Jon Green, who is leading on the investigation, said: “We remain open minded to the possibility that he may have come to some harm and revisiting some of the witnesses in the case may uncover new information to piece together where and why he went.

“Scott was last seen in the lay-by opposite the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill in Durham four years ago today and his family are still enduring the agony of not knowing what exactly happened to him. They have been informed we will be reviewing the case and have given their support in a bid to urge people to come forward.

“Whilst Scott was in some debt prior to his disappearance and was known to the criminal fraternity, we believe there are people who may be with-holding information from us, but with the passage of time they may now feel they can get in touch about what they know."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
