Ex-Sunderland and Boro footballer Adam Johnson sentenced today
The shamed 28-year-old will be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court later.
Shamed footballer Adam Johnson is being sentenced at Bradford Crown Court today for sexual offences against a child.
The 28-year-old, from Castle Eden, was found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child earlier this month.
He also pleaded guilty to kissing and grooming the girl, who was 15-year-old at the time.
At the end of the trial, the former Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Manchester City player was cleared of another sexual activity count.
Judge Jonathan Rose warned the former winger that he could expect a custodial sentence and that he should use his time on bail to say goodbye to his baby daughter.
