Woman Attacked by Dog in Valley Gardens, Marske-by-the-Sea

Police are appealing for information after a woman was attacked by a dog in Valley Gardens in Marske-by-the-Sea.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 26th August between 9.50pm and 10.10pm as a woman was walking in the park with her dog. Another dog ran towards them and the victim picked up her own dog to prevent it from being attacked. The second dog, described as a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bulldog cross jumped up and attacked the victim by biting her on the right forearm. It is thought the dog was possibly called Harley or Marley.

A woman took hold of the dog and made off in a vehicle with a man. The woman is described as white, around 5 ft 2” tall, in her mid-twenties, of slim build with long dark hair.

The victim sought medical attention and as a result of the attack she was left with a puncture mark to her arm and bruising.
