There are claims that Middlesbrough fans could miss out on away games, if they are promoted to the Premier League.

Boro currently sit at the top of the Championship, with just 11 games left in the season.

Rob Nichol, editor of the fanzine Fly Me To The Moon, told TFM some people won’t be able to afford the cost of away tickets.

The price is set by the host clubs, which means it could be around £40 and more.

Rob said: “It’s one of the negatives of being in the Premier League, you want to visit these grounds, you want to support your club in the top flight that’s the dream.

“But, it’s become a very expensive dream.”

The Football Supporters Federation say the cost of tickets is something they are concerned about.

They want a £20 cap on away tickets, and want clubs to use money from the away supporters initiative to subsidise them.
