New online poll reveals parents most regrettable name choices

A new online poll has revealed which names parents most regret choosing for their children and the results are rather surprising.

According to Mumsnet, an online poll of over 1,000 parents found 18 per cent regretted their name choices, with one in 50 later deciding to change the name.

The research also suggested that one in four new parents are likely to change the name of their child if they find out somebody else close to them has chosen the name.

For anyone out there with an unusual name, one in ten found their child's name is often pronounced incorrectly or spelt wrong.
