Woman's body discovered in lake in Leeds
The death of the woman is being treated as unexplained
A woman's body has been recovered from a lake at Roundhay Park in Leeds.
Police were called to the scene at around 6am this morning (Saturday 9th September).
The woman's death is being treated as unexplained ahead of a post-mortem examination.
The woman is described as having dark hair, wearing a black top, black shorts, black knee-high socks, and black boots.
Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle, from West Yorkshire Police's Leeds District, said:
“Our enquiries are at an early stage, and we would like to hear from anyone who has any information that may assist with our investigation.”
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the Roundhay Park area this morning or overnight who may have seen a woman matching the description above and has not yet spoken with police.”
“A police cordon will be in place for some time, whilst we continue with our enquiries.”
