A local council in Kent says it's incredibly upset after vandals cut the head off a locally famous statue.
An investigation's taking place into what happened to the stone sculpture in Folkestone's Radnor Park last week.
Officials say it'll take time and taxpayers' money to sort a replacement.
Folkestone & Hythe District Council has posted this appeal on social media.
The local authority said it is "incredibly upset" after the incident and described the act as "pointless vandalism".
On social media site X, the council posted before and after pictures of the St Eanswythe sculpture saying it was "not a game of spot the difference we wanted to play".
They added: "We’re incredibly upset that such, let’s be honest, pointless vandalism has happened in one of our much-loved parks with Green Flag status.
"It is hoped a replacement can be arranged, but that takes time and costs taxpayers’ money."
The council have since reported the incident to Kent Police.
The force are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with more information to come forward.
