Three pedestrians hospitalised after being hit by taxi in Glasgow
The incident happened near Glasgow Central Station this afternoon
Three people are being treated in hospital after a taxi crashed into them in Glasgow city centre.
Police were called to the incident near Central Station, on Union Street at the junction with Gordon Street, around 1.50pm.
One person was able to leave the scene, while three pedestrians were taken to hospital by ambulance.
There was a large police presence in the area earlier, accompanied by ambulance crews and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Union Street, Renfield Street and St Vincent Street remain closed, while Gordon Street is only open to pedestrians.
Police are urging drivers and members of the public to avoid the area as their enquiries continue.
