Rory Talbot will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow
A man has been charged with the murder of his father in Putney by the Metropolitan Police.
Officers were called to a property on Deodar Road in Putney just after 3:35am on Friday morning (January 24th).
Responders arrived at the property to find a 75-year-old man suffering from a significant stab injury.
The man was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Since then, investigations have been ongoing by the Metropolitan Police to establish the facts of the incident, and have named the victim as Mark Talbot.
Now, officers have charged 30-year-old Rory Talbot from Mossbury Road in Wandsworth with the murder of his father.
Metropolitan Police made the charge on Saturday (January 25th), and will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (January 27th).
In a statement released through the force, Mark's loved ones paid tribute to a dearly beloved member of their family.
"We are grateful for the support provided by police, our neighbours and others," they said.
"We ask that our privacy is respected while we come to terms with the tragic loss of a highly respected member of the community."
