A partial power outage at London Stansted Airport earlier this morning is causing chaos for holiday makers this morning (April 29th).

The Airport have released a statement for all passengers travelling through the airport, detailing how the outage in the terminal is affecting several systems, including check-in, security and baggage.

They say power has now been restored, but it is taking more time for passengers to pass through the airport.

The systems affected are going to be soon back up and running.

Passengers are being urged to arrive with plenty of time for their flights.

Kayleigh Mennell lives just outside of Colchester, and is at London Stansted Airport, trying to get to Lanzarote with her husband.

She said: "All of the baggage belts were broken, so everyone had to check their baggage in, get the tag, and then go round the corner and queue to drop all the baggage off. It was like a baggage graveyard it was absolutely ridiculous.

"And then yeah, the queue for security was absolutely mental, we've been at the airport for two hours and we're still here."

London Stansted Airport have apologised for the disruption and affects for passengers.
