Dr Michael Mosley's widow says she wants to continue his work
The television doctor was found dead after going missing this month
The widow of television doctor Michael Mosley has said that she wants to carry on his work in his memory.
Michael - who lived in Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire - went missing on the Greek island of Symi whilst on holiday with his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, earlier this month.
Following an intensive search operation using the emergency services, the dietician - known for popularising the 5:2 and ketogenic diets - was found dead at Agia Marina on the north of the island.
Dying at the age of 67, the discovery of his body but an end to the five-day search, with Clare saying she took comfort in the fact he "almost made it" to get help.
Greek police spokeswoman, Konstantia Dimoglidou, confirmed following a post-mortem that the doctor had died of "natural causes".
As the medical world continues to mourn his loss, widow Clare posted an update to her social media accounts where she thanked everyone for the "outpouring of love" that her family had received.
"I very much want to continue with the work that gave Michael and myself so much joy and such a sense of purpose," she said.
"Once more thank you so much for respecting my family's privacy so kindly. Michael was an amazing man. Thank you for seeing that too. We miss him so much."
Dr Mosley became a household name for his on-screen appearances on shows including Trust Me, I'm A Doctor.
During his career, he hosted many theatre shows together with his wife - including as recently as May where the pair presented a special edition of his Just One Thing podcast series at the Hay Festival.
At the time of his death, he was in the process of filming a series of Just One Thing - a TV-adapted version of his radio programme.
