Man seriously injured in Sheffield city centre stabbing
Emergency services were called to St Mary's Road early this morning
A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Sheffield city centre.
Police were called to St Mary's Road at 3.35am this morning (Sunday 11th February), where they found a 23 year old man who had suffered stab wounds.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.
Detectives believe he had been chased by a group before the attack.
They have yet to make any arrests in connection with what happened.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said an investigation is underway to identify those responsible.
