Man charged with murder of woman in Birmingham

A woman died after being found seriously injured in the Ladywood area of the city on Tuesday

Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Birmingham have charged a man.

A woman in her 20s died after being found seriously injured in woodland off Freeth Street in the Ladywood area of the city at around 8.45pm on Tuesday 31st July.

30 year old Filmon Andmichaen from the Great Barr area has been charged with murder.

He's due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

Extensive enquiries have been taking place at the scene.

West Midlands Police are continuing to urge anyone with information to get in touch.
