Man charged after series of rapes in Manchester city centre

Police investigating a series of rapes in Manchester city centre have charged a man.
Mourad Malki, 47, of Smedley Road in Manchester, is accused of 12 offences including rape, sexual assault and theft.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday 24 July.
At the weekend, a man was identified and arrested as part of enquiries into four rapes in Manchester city centre between February and July 2024.
