Kevin Spacey charged with four counts of sexual assault

The Crown Prosecution Service says it relates to allegations by three people between 2005 and 2013

US actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault by prosecutors in the UK.

The charges related to alleged incidents involving three men between March 2005 and April 2013, in London and Gloucestershire.

In statement, the Crown Prosecution Service said: “The CPS has authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men.

“He has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

"The charges follow a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation."
