Kent Police officers are appealing for witnesses after 8 people have been injured in a crash involving a double-decker bus and car.

The force says while seven were believed not to be serious, one man in his 60s was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Emergency services were called just before 12.20pm on Friday 9 August 2024 to a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Lexus and a double decker bus on the A28 Island Road, between Sarre and Upstreet.

Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Police now want anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to the police, to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
