The Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme kicked off across the UK and Ireland on Monday 3rd August, with the intention of helping out the struggling hospitality industry following the detrimental effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
And with the scheme due to end at the on Monday 31st August, a number of larger UK restaurants have already announced they will be extending the deal throughout September, with many calling for Chancellor Rishi Sunak to officially extend 'Eat Out to Help Out' for smaller business.
The Eat Out To Help Out scheme certainly proved popular across the country, with customers receiving a massive 50% off on food and non-alcoholic drinks between Mondays and Wednesdays in all participating businesses.

Customers are advised to check with their local branches and to book in advance.
You can check which restaurants took part in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme by entering your postcode on the GOV.UK website. It will then bring up a list of establishments within a five-mile radius.
When is the Eat Out to Help Out scheme happening?
The Governments Eat Out to Help Out scheme took place at participating businesses every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between the 3rd August and the 31st August.
How much discount do I get on the Eat Out to Help Out scheme?
The Government's scheme applies to all food and non-alcoholic drinks, with a massive 50% off. Each person in the establishment will get a maximum discount of £10.
How do I claim my discount on the Eat Out to Help Out scheme?
Unlike most offers, you don't need any codes or emails to receive the discount. If you are in a restaurant, pub or cafe which is taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, your 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks will be automatically taken off your final bill.
The Eat Out to Help Out scheme also runs in conjunction with any other offers the establishments have going on.
What places are taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme?
Over 72,000 restaurants, pubs and cafes have signed up for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, to find which businesses are taking part near you, simply enter your postcode on the GOV.UK website and it will bring up a list of establishments within a five-mile radius.
However, bigger chain establishments such as Burger King, Costa Coffee, KFC, Ask Italian, Nando's, McDonalds, Subway, Starbucks, Zizzi, JD Wetherspoon and more may not appear on the list, with customers being advised to check with the local branches directly.
How many times can I use the Eat Out to Help Out scheme?
As many times as you like! Perhaps one of the best things about the Eat Out to Help Out scheme is that it has unlimited uses, as long as you go between Monday-Wednesday.
That means you could potentially dine out at a number of different restaurants every day, but due to high demand, businesses are urging customers to book in advance.
How much do I need to spend for the Eat Out to Help Out discount to be applied?
The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has zero spend limit, therefore you could simply buy a £3 product and get it for just £1.50!
Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said, "Our Eat Out to Help Out scheme’s number one aim is to help protect the jobs of 1.8 million chefs, waiters and restaurateurs by boosting demand and getting customers through the door."
