Child dies in hospital following crash in Surrey

A child has died following a crash in the Surrey village of Dunsfold.

Emergency services were called out shortly before 5:30pm on Friday (24 November) to the junction between Chapel Hill and Wrotham Hill following the collision involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a white Tesla.

Surrey Police say a girl, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has died. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of a road traffic collision and driving without a valid driving licence.

He has since been further arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving while uninsured, and causing death by driving while unlicensed.
