Thommo extends St Mirren stay

St Mirren have handed a new one-year deal to striker Steven Thompson.

The 36-year-old's new contract takes him up until May 2016 as the buddies plot their immediate return to the Premiership following relegation.

A fans' favourite, Thompson has scored 52 goals in 146 appearances for the Paisley side.
