Rangers players to leave in January only on club's terms - Warburton

Boss Mark Warburton has stressed that any player leaving Rangers in the January transfer window will go only on the Ibrox club's terms.
Following the Govan club's Annual General Meeting last Friday - where Rangers chairman Dave King promised that the Light Blues manager would have money to spend in the upcoming transfer window - the attention has been on how many new players might be added to the Gers squad.
Warburton knows what budget he has at his disposal as he confirmed "we know what we are dealing with" and will target both experience and energy in his bid to reach the top flight.
However, he is hoping he does not have to fend off interest from clubs looking to take any of his players who have won 12 out of 14 Championship games this season.
Ahead of the league game against Dumbarton at Ibrox on Tuesday night, where victory in their game in hand will take the Light Blues three points clear of second-placed Hibernian, he said: "We don't have to sell anyone. Far from that.
"But if clubs come calling we have to make sure that if someone leaves Rangers they leave on our terms, not their terms.
"You can't say never because the fact is we have players who are performing at a good level and clubs down south will look at what fishing pool offers value.
"As the market moves down south we are well aware that they will seek value where they can.
"It may be in Scandinavia, it may be in southern Spain, it may be north of the border.
"But the clubs with the money will always look for value and we have to be aware of that fact."
Warburton again distanced himself from the vacant managerial post at Fulham despite being installed as bookmakers' favourite to take the job vacated by Kit Symons earlier in the month.
The former Brentford manager has had no contact with the English Championship club and while he admits to being flattered with the Craven Cottage link, he reiterated that he had unfinished business in Glasgow.
He said: "It is very flattering. It is always good to be linked.
"There are lots of times in your life when you are not linked to jobs, that's for sure.
"All you can do is put your head down and do your job here.
"The amount of clubs who change their managers increases year on year so speculation will be normal but it is always nice to be linked.
"It is a huge club here. There are some big clubs in the Championship, no doubt about that but this is a huge club.
"We started off well and there is a big project here.
"The club has had a tough four or five years, everyone knows that but they also know where the club needs to get to. Our focus right now is here at Rangers."
