Ian Murray is the new St Mirren manager, Dumbarton have confirmed.
The Scottish Championship side announced that Murray had left them to take over in Paisley.
Murray will take over from Gary Teale, who failed to keep the Buddies in the Scottish Premiership.
A statement on the Dumbarton website read: "Ian Murray leaves role as Sons manager to join newly relegated St Mirren.
"Murray accepted the position at the Paisley club following a recent interview process and will be officially unveiled at St Mirren Park later today."
The 34-year-old former Hibernian and Rangers player took over at Dumbarton in November 2012 and has kept the part-time club in Scotland's second tier.
Teale had hoped to retain his post after Saints won three of their last four matches.
