Mark McGhee knows the pressure is now on Motherwell to make the top six despite giving themselves an unexpected chance.
The Lanarkshire side have gone from 11th to fifth in the Premiership after recording five victories in six matches.
Motherwell were one place and one point off the relegation play-off spot four games ago, but a win at Inverness on Saturday could even see them book a top-half spot with a game to spare.
However, boss McGhee said: "It be comes a different sort of pressure. Now the criticism comes if you don't make the top six.
"It's a never-ending story. You are playing for the next game and the next objective and pressure comes from the next set of expectations.
"We are now sitting fifth and our supporters will expect us to finish in the top six. We have Inverness away and Celtic at home so we are not taking anything for granted.
"The game at Inverness, regardless of their recent form, is a hugely difficult game for us. I have a great respect for the way they play and the way John (Hughes) goes about his business.
"Whether me make the top six or not, it could arguably be the most difficult game we are going to face between now and the end of the season. It would be a fantastic game to get something."
