Young woman assaulted and robbed in Dundee

The 22-year-old was in South Tay Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 22-year-old woman has been assaulted and robbed in Dundee.

It happened just before 3am on Sunday, March 5, on South Tay Street.

The attacker made off with the woman’s mobile phone but she did not need medical treatment.

Police tell us they are keen to speak to a man in his 30's in connection.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "He is described as being 30 - 35 years old, five foot nine inches tall. He was wearing a dark grey beanie style hat and a grey zipped up hooded top with lighter grey stripes on the arms.

"He was also wearing light grey faded denim jeans and trainers which had white rims around the soles.

"Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Tayside Division on 101.”
