Woman taken to hospital after being recovered from River Tay

A woman has been taken to Ninewells after she was rescued from the River Tay.

Police and Coastguard teams were called out just before noon after a report of a person falling from the Tay Road Bridge.

Her condition is not yet known.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We had a report at 11.35am today of a woman falling from the Tay Bridge.

“Emergency services were in attendance along with search and rescue teams.”
