Woman subjected to serious sex assault in Dundee

A major police investigation has been launched after a woman was the victim of a serious sexual assault in Dundee.

The attack happened in Guthrie Street at around 8.15pm on Thursday.

Officers are urging anyone who was in the area around that time to come forward.

Detective Chief Inspector Graham Binnie said : I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area and saw anything that they think might have been suspicious to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101.'
