Woman passenger dies after bike crash with football coach on A9
The rider of the bike was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.
A woman has died after a crash on the A9 involving a motorbike and a coach carrying Ross County football fans.
The fatal collision took place near Ballinluig, Perth and Kinross, at 11.10am on Saturday.
A woman who had been a pillion passenger on the motorcycle died.
The man who had been rider on the bike was taken to hospital with injuries.
Ross County FC - who were playing away to Greenock Morton on Saturday - posted a message on social media which said those on the coach were “apparently uninjured” and being taken home.
Police shut the road between Ballinluig and Dunkeld after the incident with diversions put in place, however motorists have faced lengthy delays.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a separate collision on the A93 near Perth Racecourse.
The incident, involving a car, happened at around 8.40am on Saturday, according to police.
No further information was given on the condition of the motorcyclist.
The road was closed, but has since been reopened.
