Woman charged with wasting police time after Ailsa Hospital "stabbing"
A major investigation was launched following the incident last month.
A woman has appeared in court charged with wasting police time after a stabbing at the Ailsa Hospital in Ayr.
Donna Maxwell was thought to have been the victim of the incident in the grounds of the unit on Thursday 22nd of November.
The hospital had been put on lockdown with a major police presence and an investigation launched.
The 42 year-old from Irvine made no plea at Ayr Sheriff Court and was released on bail.
