Investigation launched after woman attacked in Kirriemuir

A woman was allegedly attacked by two men on Tuesday night.

An investigation's been launched after a woman was attacked in Kirriemuir on Tuesday evening. The alleged assault took the woman was walking her dog in Slade Gardens, where she was approached and attacked by two men.

Police are currently investigating, and say the alleged assault took place at sometime between 8:30pm – 9pm on Tuesday 28th December, near some garages.

The woman who was out walking her dog was reportedly approached and assaulted by two men, who punched and kicked her in what appears to have been an unprovoked attack.

She was not injured during the incident but was left badly shaken.

Officers would like to trace two men in connection with this incident.

Only one has been described, as wearing a black puffa-type jacket, black gloves, jeans and black trainers. He also had a noticeably deep voice. Also, one of the men may have sustained a lower leg injury during the incident.

Police say extensive enquiries have already been made in the area, and are appealing for witnesses.
