Woman, 50, dies in hospital after being found injured in St Andrews
A 50-year-old woman has died in hospital days after she was found seriously injured at a house in Fife.
Elizabeth Bowe died at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee on Tuesday afternoon following the incident in Bobby Jones Place, St Andrews, on Saturday. The death is being treated as murder and a 51-year-old man has been arrested.
Detective Inspector Rory Hamilton said: This is a tragic loss and our thoughts and condolences are with Elizabeth's loved ones.
This investigation is now being treated as a murder enquiry and it will continue to be led by detectives from the major investigations team.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested and appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday in connection with the incident. He has been remanded to custody.
