Windows of Dundee bus smashed by group of youths
Last month rocks were thrown at two different buses in Broughty Ferry, injuring one driver
A group of youths have smashed the windows of a Dundee bus.
Objects were thrown at the Xplore service in Kirkton on Sunday night.
It comes after rocks were thrown at two different services in Broughty Ferry last month.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information about an incident which happened about 8:15pm on Sunday evening (1st March) in Derwent Avenue, Kirkton, Dundee.
"An Xplore Dundee bus had two windows smashed, one on each deck, by objects thrown by a group of youths.
"The youths, who looked to be under 16 years of age, were all standing on the east side of the street near to the play park.
"Unfortunately we have no further descriptions of them at the moment, however CCTV from nearby cameras and from the bus itself is currently being examined in order to identify members of this group.
"We cannot overstate how incredibly dangerous reckless behaviour of this kind is. It is very fortunate that no-one was injured, and that the bus driver was able to continue to the nearby terminus."
