A couple from West Lothian, who have been putting in shifts as key workers during the pandemic, have won a £5.16 million Lotto jackpot.
Paul and Louise Drake, who're both 47, claimed the win from the National Lottery draw on Wednesday July 28.
The pair, from Seafield - between Livingston and Bathgate - have two sons aged 11 and 15.
Paul said he 'burst into tears' when he found while in his car preparing to head to work.
He said: "I'm not an emotional guy but I just burst into tears.
"I ran back into the house screaming and woke Louise up to tell her. We just couldn't believe it."
Louise said: "I got such a fright thinking something was wrong, but he was shouting something about winning the lottery.
"At first I thought it was £5,000 and tried to go back to sleep. But obviously that didn't happen.''
Both of them are key workers but Paul gave up his job as a production operator with the supermarket Lidl following the win last week. Louise works as a district nurse.
Mr Drake bought his Lotto Lucky Dip tickets from the One Stop store in Seafield and matched all six main numbers - 23, 26, 34, 36, 44 and 59.
Paul added: "The guys who I drove to work knew something was up and that I was acting strangely, so it wasn't long before people guessed. Our friends, family and colleagues are over the moon for us, they're really chuffed, which is great."
He insists the fortune will not change "who we are", but will "change our lives dramatically from a financial perspective".
He added: "I'll still chase a bargain and I definitely won't be paying £6.50 for a bacon roll at the golf club."
