Dundee's Caird Hall is being remodelled into a vaccination site as health officials ramp up the fight against covid-19.

The British Army has pitched up today, it's one of nine facilities in Tayside that'll be ready by the end of the week.

Lynne Hamilton from the region's health board is overseeing the operation. She said: "The centre will open on Thursday and we will be focussing the activity around the 65 to 69 age group, and the likewise in the other centres across Tayside.

"Our GPs and some of our other centres will continue to vaccinate those over 70 and those classed extremely clinically vulnerable.

"They'll all be vaccinated in the next two weeks, by the middle of February."
