Warning After "Legal Highs" Theft In Dundee

Police in Dundee have issued a warning after a number of substances were stolen from Just the Thing in Albert Street

There's warning after a number of legal highs were stolen from a shop in Dundee. Just the Thing in Albert Street was broken into sometime between 5 and 7 on Saturday night. Police are reminding us about the dangers of taking new psychoactive substances - especially when mixed with another drug or alcohol. A spokeswoman said, “The dangers of these so-called ‘legal highs’ are unknown and mixing them with another drug, or alcohol, can result in even more severe consequences. “These substances can be professionally packaged and branded, but this doesn’t remove the substantial risk to health. “We would strongly advise anyone against consuming any psychoactive substances and would urge anyone suffering from adverse effects to seek immediate medical attention. Although the substances are marketed as “legal highs” they still carry warnings which state they are not for human consumption.’’ Anyone who has any information should contact Police Scotland Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any police officer. Information can also be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
